Biography:

American Impressionist Joseph Eliot Enneking, son of landscape painter John Joseph Enneking (1841-1916), studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston under the tutelage of such luminaries as Edmund Tarbell, Joseph DeCamp, and Frank Weston Benson. Throughout his life, he painted in and around Boston and Connecticut and was influenced stylistically by the Barbizon and Impressionist painters, however utilizing a brighter palette.
