Real of Fake?

Can you tell if this work is by Jackson Pollock? It sold for $17 million so one would assume everyone on both sides of the sale did their homework. However, according to paint analysis (pigments used in this work were not invented until years after it was allegedly painted) it’s a fake.

How this, and other art by A-list Abstract Expressionists were sold through America’s oldest and most esteemed ¬†gallery without question is now THE question. Further, the dealer who sold these works to that gallery is the subject of a FBI investigation. Experienced dealers, the artists’ estates, and other experts are scratching their heads.¬†Rothko, deKooning, Pollock, Motherwell and the list continues….
